After a lifetime in the travel industry and fifty years experience as a Travel Consultant, I would have to say that Chile's Atacama Desert and Torres del Paine National Park are among the top half dozen or so places I am lucky enough to have visited. Of course Easter Island is wonderful too, perhaps primarily because of its isolation and because of the unavoidable expense involved in getting there.
