ITINERARY.

 

 

Day 1    Sydney

 

Take delivery of a self-drive car and drive north to the broad, fertile Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine producing region and the perfect destination for lovers of fine dining, country air, historic towns and villages.

 

Consider a stop en route at Old Sydney Town or the charming old settlement of Wollombi where you will find two 1840's churches, antiques and crafts and an interesting local museum.

Day 2    Hunter Valley  

 

In the Hunter Valley there will be plenty to keep you busy. There are over fifty wineries, horse drawn carriage rides, golf, horse riding, hot-air ballooning, tandem skydiving and interesting shopping for arts and crafts.

 

 

Day 3    Hunter Valley – Blue Mountains    

 

Kayaking is also available at the nearby lake and river.

 

Late morning depart the Hunter valley by car.

 

Leaving the Hunter Valley behind, tour through the Australian bush to the Blue Mountains, a region of dramatic scenery and fresh air. Scenic towns offer fine food, a cool climate, gardens and interesting shopping.

Day 4   Blue Mountains    

 

In the Blue Mountains. Take the spectacular “Cliff Drive” at Katoomba and visit Echo Point for a breathtaking view over the forested Jamieson Valley and the Three Sisters rock formation.

 

 

Day 5   Blue Mountains - Sydney

 

Drive back to Sydney or remain behind to enjoy more of what New South Wales has to offer.
